Reception Ideas -- Genius(!) Photo Booth

Posted Thursday, July 16, 2009 5:46 PM

The bride (Kristen) and her wedding planner (Sasha Souza) created this ridiculously creative photo booth. They covered a large piece of wood with wallpaper and then added framed family photos. It's so cute, I can't even stand it.

Did the guests get to take their photos home, or did they have to go online?

The photographer took some shots, which guests could later find online. But you could have a friend man a Poloroid or a digital camera and then put them up on your own photo sharing website after the wedding.

This is an amazing idea! Thank you so much for sharing because I have really been looking for ways to make the whole thing as interactive as possible and this is truly genius!!

And you could also easily purchase or borrow a printer that could print the still right from the digital camera, like Kodiak easy share, then they become favors that are really cherished!!

This is so creative and I love the old fashioned theme! I would want to do something similar at my wedding. Maybe I'll do a Japanese theme? I really like these Mokume Gane rings. http://www.tungstenworld.com/SENSEI-Mokume-Tungsten-Jewelry-Ring/

I would love to get more information as to how to construct this. Did you use plywood or something else? What dimensions were used? How is it supported? What was used as a backdrop? Did you need special lighting? I imagine it would work better indoors rather than outdoors. Thank you for the idea and advice!

I would also love some specs for creating this.  Especially how it was supported and the type of camera you used.
