You really don't have to wear high heels. How about coordinating your shoes with his? He can wear his standard black Converse with a pair of colorful socks (in the wedding colors of course), and you can wear a coordinating pair. Cuteness!

We did this at our reception. He changed into a pair of high top leather chucks & I changed into a tall pair of leatherette boots from Hot topic that I found in white! We hit the floor in those after all the usual stuff & danced to the end!

I LOVE it!  We are getting married in a park, on grass, that would be perfect for my feet, no sinking into the ground with heels!  Plus, I want to have a bit of fun with my shoes, they wont be seen!  LOVE IT LOVE IT!!!  Any ideas where they got the shoes?

We are doing this, too.  His are classic black (as are his son and daughter's - they are best man and maid of honor), mine are royal blue sequin!  I love my shoes.

I'm sorry, but this is very tacky. Yes, it's comfortable and a very "what should we do that's over the top" idea, but everyone is doing it! This isn't creative because everyone is doing it. Now people, come up with something that is unique to the both of you!

So not tacky!  I found a pair of raspberry colored "chucks" today to match my fiances black ones.  After our reception we're having our guests participate in a softball game (we met playing rec softball).  These shoes are going to be great!  Way better than TonyandChristys baby-poop-brown bridesmaid dresses.

Our entire bridal party is wearing Chucks. My FH & our groomsmen in the patent leather high tops and the bridesmaids in low top blue canvas. I'll be wearing custom low tops in our colors. You wouldn't catch me dead in a pair of heels on my big day when I'll be on my feet all day. I can't wait.

I am wearing converse high tops for my wedding day! It is not tacky, and it is not boring. Shouldn't your wedding day show your personality and your own style? I wear converse almost everyday and I have worn them since I was in 7th grade. It's part of who I am and I'd like to show that part of me on my wedding day!

I think it is a great idea.  I wanted to have my groomsmen all in black patent leather converse while I would be in the white ones (since I am wearing a white tux).  My issue is that one of my groomsmen has a size 17 shoe and they don't come that big.  Would it be bad to have everyone else in them and not him, or should I just do them for me at the reception?  Or should I have them for my bestman and me and then the bride and made of honor?
