Reception Ideas - Use Antique Furniture as Wedding Decor

Posted Tuesday, September 15, 2009 7:29 PM

This idea kind of runs along the same lines as borrowing your grandparent's wedding cake topper: borrow antique furniture from your family and incorporate it into your wedding decor. Here, an old wooden chair creates the perfect pedestal for a rustic flower arrangement at a wedding ceremony -- that's what I call personal.

re: Reception Ideas - Use Antique Furniture as Wedding Decor

For my parent's 25th wedding anniversary, I used galvanized milk pitchers from Michael's with fresh flowers as centerpieces. I wrote my parents' names and wedding date on heart-shape wood cut-outs and tied them to the pitchers with twine for a rustic feel. Everyone loved them and thought it was a great idea.
