Craptastic Times - Part Two

I've officially reached the lowest point in this wedding planning roller coaster.
First, the friend who asked whether he could bring a guest to the wedding asked again today, to which I said, "Sorry, we can only afford to invite close family and friends" . . . when in fact I really wanted to say, "No. It is really tacky of you to ask by the way."
Then, the Best Man complained about how expensive the tux rental was -- a whooping $60. Mind you, this guy (single, no rent to pay) is a professional who makes twice as much as the salary of an average household in America so it's most definitely not a financial issue. He's been in wedding parties before, so it shouldn't come as a shock that he has to pay for his own clothes. We went out of our ways to keep the cost down because we didn't want to be a burden to our wedding party. The greatest part is, he's my closest friend aside from my fiance. Are you effin' kidding me???
By the way, to top it off he also bitched and moaned about the only task we've asked him to do: give vendors their final payments on the day of the wedding. It's not rocket science, is it? I mean, checks are going to come in envelopes labeled with vendors' names, and all he has to do is hand them out before the wedding is over . . . is it really that difficult?
In the end, we decided to just pay for everyone's tux rentals. My fiance suggested asking the other groomsman or a family member to take care of the payment duty. Quite frankly, I don't even want to ask the Best Man -- the guy we've been friends with for six years -- to make a toast anymore because I simply cannot bear to hear anymore complaints.
I am so disappointed that while we try so hard to keep the amount of time our wedding party has to commit to our wedding as little as possible, it's still not good enough for them. It really hurts :(
