re: tjrocks DIY Invitations

Hey guys, sorry for the late response...I posted, and then went and got married, and sort of lost track of things!!

Thanks for all of your lovely remarks!

The pockets were made from 20x26 sheets I bought from paper source for $1.25 each. I cut them into 5x20 strips, which makes 5 pockets. Using a butter knife I scored each fold, and then used glue dot strips I bought at michael's to stick the pockets. The middle and inserts were printed on resume paper I bought at costco on sale (they were designed using adobe illustrator). I printed several inserts/parts per page, so I only needed 1.5 sheets per invite....and then used rubber cement to attach it all. The monogram is just the resume paper stuck to a leftover square of cardstock and attached with a glue dot. The printing was done at my husband's work, so it was free, but you can do it on a home printer, no problem.

Pockets $0.30

Paper $0.20

Glue, etc $0.20

Total $0.70

I didn't include envelopes in the total, which I got at papersource.com as well.

They are labour intensive though...so there is a trade off in time and energy.

I put a tutorial on the link below.
