One of my bridesmaids had foot surgery just a couple weeks before the wedding.  She was wonderful and still wanted to be in the wedding, but we had to give a little thought to the mechanics of it.  We talked for awhile about having her escort wheel her down the aisle, but she felt weird about that.  In the end, instead of walking down the aisle during the procession, she was already sitting at a pew at the front of the church.  When her turn came to be standing, she went to a stool that was waiting there in her spot.
