We used messages in a bottle with guests’ names written on tiny scrolls as escort cards.  Each tiny glass bottle was tagged with white paper tags reminiscent of those found in antique and beach souvenir shops.  The tiny glass bottles sat in treasure chests filled with sand, shells, and gardenias.  Next to the bottles an excerpt from the sign read:  “Though these bottles do not contain love letters, we hope they wash your evening in love, joy, and romance.  Please find your bottle to find your seat and begin your evening’s voyage.”

 We placed three chests filled with the tiny bottles on a round table in the foyer at the entrance of our reception alongside flowers used in the ceremony.
