We met, during a Colts football party in 2003, in college. We didn't really talk that night as I found him extremely loud and annoying. (He is still loud, but the annoying factor is long gone). We saw each other while out with friends a few times after that but it never amounted to anything as we were both preparing for graduation and jobs. Fast forward to July 2006. A mutual friend was in town and talked me in to going to a wine tasting that Kevin was hosting. I didn't know he had ended up in the same city! I was all like, "do you think it's OK if I go?" And he was like, "yeah, it's fine. Don't be dumb." So I grabbed two of my friends, went to the party and the rest is history! We stayed up talking until 5 the next morning. Over the course of the next two weeks, we went on eight dates. After that point, we were pretty much a done deal.

He proposed at his 30th birthday party on October 16, 2009. The party was the perfect distraction as I had been too busy planning to realize he was acting weird all week! Kevin's brother was up from Atlanta for the night. He poured wine for our guests and toasted to Kev's 30th b-day. After the toast, Kevin thanked me for his party, started saying a bunch of stuff about how it was just not a party for him and about how much he loved me...pulled the ring out of his pocket and proposed! Of course I said yes and snatched the ring from the box and put it on my own finger....whoops! (The photo is when I first realized what he was doing, right before he got down on one knee).

I work for a non-profit in Indianapolis, planning events and professional development programs. I love traveling, photography and scrapbooking. Kevin is a project manager and a huge computer nerd. He's also the biggest Cincinnati Bengals fan in the world and never misses a home game. That's dedication as we live two hours from Cincinnati! We bought our first house in May of 2008 and have two adorable cats.
