Gavin and I met in October 2005. We started talking to one another on a site that was then much like facebook. We talked for hours at a time and after less than a week we decided to go out on a date. Just a couple days later he asked me to be his girlfriend and have been together ever since!

On June 6th 2007 Gavin took me out to celebrate my graduation from OSU. Our first stop of the night was Martinis for dinner. The food was wonderful! Then we went to the Arena Grand to see a movie and I got to pick so we watched Shrek 3. Real romantic huh? As we were walking back to the parking garage we walked past McPherson Park. Gavin always loved to tell the history of different locations and so he started to tell me the history of Union Station. We walked through the park and sat on a bench as he told the story. Then he told me 20 years from now we will be talking about what happened there in 2007 and he got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. He opened the ring box and it had a little light shining on the beautiful ring. I was in complete shock and speechless at first. It took me a minute before I even said yes. That night I found out he had gone to my mom on Mothers day to ask her for permission to marry me. She then gave him the diamond from her engagement ring! It was an amazing day and he did a wonderful job keeping it a surprise for so long!
