Austin and I met in the fall of 2000. I was living in New York and he lived in Michigan. We pretty much had a long distance relationship until the end of 2005 when I finally moved to Michigan. We met online on a social website and I've never divuldge this information before.I've always felt funny about discussing how we met. Neither of us were looking for a relationship but we found each other. 7 years later and a beautiful daughter we are finally getting married.

Our engagement came after a long rollercoaster ride of me being in the hospital. After the birth of our daughter she was hospitalized for over 70+ days. Wow where do I start. Austin had gone to the March of Dime Walk for premature babies. When he came back from the walk he was acting really strange. I asked him, what was wrong? He said that he was nervous around the baby and I knew that wasn't true. He was stronger than I through the entire prosess while our daughter was in the NICU and very critical. I knew something was up. Austin proposed beside our daughters Isolette in the NICU. He actually knelt infront of her isolette and ask her as his witness if I would marry him. I was SHOCKED, in a good way. Extremly surprised. We had been through so much. Me being hospitalised for a few weeks before our daughter had arrived and then her arriving 12 weeks earlier than she should have. We had a lot on our plate. I was in still in shock at how tiny our daughter was, and still pretty much blaming myself for not bringing her to full term. I never expected it, he had been through so much. I was able to gather strenght through him and it was the best proposal any girl could ever wish for.
Our wedding colors are Expresso and Ivory. I've always been a sucker for earth tones and I had to incorporate it our wedding. We are both extremly excited and look forward to celebarting with our friends and family. Our wedding will be held at Austins childhood church, Our Shephered Lutheran in Birmingham, MI. Our reception will follow at the Ritz Carlton in Dearborn.

I'm so looking forward to September 19, 2009. We had our final premarital session on Saturday and overall, it all went well. I think we both learned a lot about ourselves and also left with a better understanding of who we are as individuals.
