Mike and I met a year and a half ago from an online dating website. He had thought he knew me from seeing me at a Speedway Gas station, where we both went almost on a daily basis, when really we had went to high school together! LOL I graduated in 1999 and he graduated in 2000. We didn't know one another really in high school because he was a jock and was focused on football! We had talked for a while online and instantly clicked. We went on our first date and spent hours just talking about anything and everything. We went on a second date, then the third and after this date... he just never went back home. He stayed at my apartment every night and things just got better and better.
Last October we bought our first house, ran into quite a few challenges, but I feel has just made us even stronger. We knew we wanted to spend the rest of our lives together but at the same time wanted to do it the right way. (we were a little backwards buying the house first, but the housing market was too good to not take advantage of it) We were in the middle of painting our bedrooms. I wanted a bright, energetic color for the room with my eliptical trainer and treadmill in, thinking it would motivate me to work out more. We had tried several samples on the walls, but nothing really came out what I was wanting. We found a pretty color for our bedroom that I just loved so was debating just painting the other bedroom in this color. On March 23, I came home from work and he had told me to check out the new color sample on the walls. The sample was, "Amy I love you with all my heart! Will you marry me!" (Notice an exclamation mark and not a question mark???) haha Of course I said yes and started planning.
Originally we had picked June 12, 2010 because I liked the date for our anniversary, but the Reception hall that I fell in love with was already booked. So we decided on June 19, 2010.
