The 4K Challenge
Planning a beautiful wedding for under $4,000

This will be a second marriage for both my fiance and I. However, I married young & dumb the first time at a courthouse oversees. I didn't get to have the nice wedding with a beautiful dress and flowers everything else a little girl dreams of growing up. So I'm determined that this time I will have a beautiful wedding....but I don't want to break the bank. We settled on a $5,000 budget, but secretly (or not so secretly) I'm trying to do it on $4,000. BTW, If you see a photo here that belongs to you, I apologize. I started collecting photos as soon as I got engaged, and didn't think about giving credit. Please let me know if I'm using your photo and I'll either remove it or give you credit. :)
Inspirations & Ideas

I fell in love with this dress as soon as I saw it. I purchased it online, but only after visiting the online retailer's brick and mortar shop. Anxiously awaiting its arrival.

I love the simplicity of this bouquet. This is the inspiration, but mine will be all ivory/white roses. I'm going to make my own bouquet with fresh roses picked up from Trader Joe's.

I love everything about this cake! I originally wanted to have our wedding outdoors or in a lodge, but financially that wasn't able to happen.

Again, I love the simplicity of this hairstyle. I'm not wearing a veil, just a simple "updo" with a flower.

We'll be using this invite as our inspiration for our own "homemade" invites. I didn't want anything too formal or expensive and I really liked the idea of including photos so that they could be framed & displayed if our family members decide to.

I'd never heard of a custom aisle runner until I saw them on etsy.com. Now I know I want one! Of course, I'm not paying someone else $100+ to do something I can easily do myself. :)
