Justin and I have known each other since we were in elementary school. Our grandparents went to the same church and were friends before either of us we born, eventually both of our parents went to that same church and we followed suit. We were close friends in high school, he took me to his senior prom and I in turn asked him to mine a year later. We started dating a couple weeks before my prom and on our sixth anniversary were engaged.

We had been talking about getting married for a couple months (after six years of dating, it would of been impossible for him to surprise me) and one morning while I was at work he texted me saying he wanted to go look for my ring that night. I just figured we would look, no big deal. So that night, we went to the mall looked at a couple of rings and then I tried on a ring that the salesman suggested. I literally stopped breathing and looked at Justin, he had the same expression on his face. We knew it was the one. We ordered it and announced our engagement that night. On our sixth anniversary we went to pick up my newly sized engagement ring and then did a little shopping for his birthday. While we were standing in the middle of a department store he turned around and looked at me and said "Oh, baby, will you marry me?" I smiled, said yes and kissed him. It was perfectly "us".
