I love my future in-laws. I see posts dealing with family issues, but we haven't had any problems. John's parents said they could invite up to 100 people, but just tell them how many they can have and they'll give us a list with that number. They have asked a two questions so far: Budget? $10,000 So will you get the cake from Westhampton Pastry Shop? I'd never heard of it, but the whole family loves it, so we'll look into it. My mom seemed to have fun shopping for a wedding gown for me. She also took me to just look at invitations and crafts to make centerpieces. She seems excited about making the bouquets with me.

Next on the list of things to do, book a reception site! I'd had my heart set on the alumni center, but in addition to their $2400 rental fee, the caterer is ridiculous! We're looking into the reception area at the church, but it was recently renovated, so neither of us have seen it.

First, we decided on the wedding location. John's church in downtown Richmond. I found THE dress just before Labor Day weekend. I'd gone to visit my parents in WV, and mom and I found the dress in Ohio. $321 well spent.
