Matt and I met through mutual friends. We had a blind date...I know horrible! But as you can see, things went well. We've been together for close to 2 years.

Matt just got the job offer in Houston and we knew we were moving soon. Matt and I talked about getting married months before, but due to financial reasons we knew we had to wait. Matt asked me to come over and help him pack. When I came over he kept pushing me to see his room and see how much he got accomplished with packing. He told me to clean out my drawer in his dresser. I opened the drawer and there was the ring in the box. I couldn't believe it and I felt like it was an out of body experience. Sounds stupid, I know! While I was staring at the ring, he got down on one knee and was telling me about how he wanted to spend the rest of his life with me. It didn't really hit me until he put the ring on my finger. Then the water works started! Matt's biggest thing was trying to surprise me. I knew it was coming, I just didn't know when.
