Wedding Planning Bio
How we met....

Chris and Kristy have a mutual friend, Courtney, that knew Chris first. After a while they all started to hang out for dinner and gather for sushi. Kristy sure did fool Chris into thinking that she knew all and was an avid sushi eater when in reality she was not...just the simple rolls for her. After about a year of hanging out Kristy was finally single and she jokingly said to Courtney that maybe her and Chris should go on a date. Well, Courtney agreed with her and had specifically stated that if they indeed were to date she would end up marrying him! Kristy then stated to Chris what Courtney had said about them going on a date. Well, to her surprise he agreed with Courtney and so they decided to go on a date. Chris invited Kristy to enjoy dinner at Sambuca in Addison and boy was she impressed! It was romantic and delicious! She didn't know that he had something else planned up his sleeve. He surprised her with tickets to the musical The Lion King, which was showing down at Fair Park. She was completely amazed that a guy was willing and wanting to take her to such an extrodinary show/event. After that she knew she had a keeper....and they fell in love!
The proposal....

For Valentines I knew that Chris had planned a whole day for us, but no details were given except be ready for brunch on Saturday morning, oh and that morning he finally said that I would need to pack a bag with over night stuff? We started our morning with brunch at the Blue Mesa in Addison and it was so delicious!!! Then we made our way to downtown Ft. Worth and watched an IMAX show about fish and the sea called DEEP Sea, it was amazing!!! Yes, we are nerds that love nature and animals! After that we checked into the Hilton hotel and relaxed while we waited for our reservation time for dinner. FYI I was dying to watch KU basketball so I was able to watch KU beat KSU...go figure I wanted to watch KU basketball on the most romantic day of the year :0) After a while of relaxing and enjoying basketball we went to dinner next door to Ruth's Chris steak house...Oh my goodness...I had to have a steak and it was excellent!!! Afterwards Chris had something special lined up. I had actually noticed by our hotel they were doing carraige rides and I have always wanted to take one...so of course my honey had one already planned. We spent a romantic stroll going through downtown Ft. Worth and then all of a sudden the lady said to us she needed to make a stop and we could go walk around the Water Gardens. The Water Gardens were truly amazing with all the pretty water features and lights. We ended up at the "Quiet Pool" and it was lite up with a green glow. All of a sudden Chris stopped walking and told me that he loved me very much and that he couldn't imagine being without me, he then got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. I of course started crying, but managed to tell him yes yes yes!!!! I gave him the biggest hug and told him "You know I'm going to start planning a wedding tomorrow". Anyways he did a fabulous job planning it out and I couldn't have asked for a better proposal and a better man to spend the rest of my life with.
Live, Laugh and Love

A night on the town with some friends.

We were celebrating Chris' bday at Buffalo Wild Wings...had to represent for them Jayhawks like always!!

This was from our first trip together...4th of July weekend in San Fran!!

Our first Halloween together...

having some champagne in the hotel...I had no idea I would be celebrating that by the end of the night I would be engaged!

Cancun 2008...havin fun in the sun!

My Wedding Inspiration

I thought I might do a POP of color for my bouquet since my dress will be a champagne color...the mixture of pinks/green/cream would be pretty.

I also love the color of green/cream roses for my bridal bouquet. The dress shown in this pic is the color of my dress.

Bridesmaid bouquets will be simple. Either all roses or hydrangeas. Depending on the color of dresses will depend on their color of bouquets.

This is a gorgeous bridesmaid gown from David's Bridal. I want them in either chocolate brown or an apple green.

Short version from David's Bridal of the dress I love...in green! I told my bridesmaids that they can wear whatever style they want as long as they all have on the same color and legnth. My MOH can wear whatever she wants...to an extent.

I love the idea of this Alfred Angelo bridesmaid dress...the two colors of my wedding combined...brown and green

I will be incorporating fruit centerpieces. So 1/2 of the tables will be fruit and the other 1/2 will be flowers. I will do the green apples and hott pink roses in the short round vase.

The flower centerpieces will be all one flower. All hott pink roses, all hydrangeas, all green roses...and just alternate them.
Cake inspiration

I love this idea of having the single votives with the rose around my cake table. The cake will be 3 tier, square and all white. I want dots all over and decorated with some roses.

I love love this cake and it is my inspiration for my wedding cake. I want it 3 tier, square, white icing and decorated with dots and Hott pink roses on top with green ribbon around the layers.

I had a miracle...the very first dress I tried on is the one I bought. I did try on about 20 after it, but it came down to the 1st and 3rd dress...I went with my 1st choice :) It is a Mon Cheri...champagne color.
