Dan and I met in college. We were in the same section of a 1000+ person class at the University of Florida. He claims I hit on him, I say that he just looked older and I wanted his notes. The truth is still being debated to this day. Despite the question of who hit on who, he definitely asked me out first. I said no, but I just already had other plans. He asked me out a second time, and I said yes. He took me to the one of the two nice (read: expensive) restaurants in Gainesville and then let me pick the movie. Truth be told, I am the WORST movie picker around. I have this uncanny ability to ALWAYS pick the worst movie out to go see. No idea why this happens, it just does. Needless to say, I picked one of the Final Destination movies, and it was horrible. We stayed through the whole thing, and I knew he was keeper if he still liked me after that. And as they say, the rest is history...
