Festive Foods - Caterer 4980 Wyaconda Road North Bethesda, MD 20852 Janice Raybuck Festive was by far the best tasting (out of 5) that we did. Just Us
Pina coloda cotton candy. YUM! This came from Resturant 2941 where Dai and I ate the night he proposed. They serve it after dinner…. Festive made this happen for us. I think it was a surprise treat for our guests.
The cookie buffet
And the cake…
Some planning pics.... cookie jars for the cookie buffett table. I'm a cookie monster at heart! Jars are from Container Store. They are lined with wrapping paper from Paper Source and other area stationary stores. Line the back of the paper with wax paper to help keep the oils from coming through. Secure with double sided tape. Labels were designed in Publisher and printed on solid sheet Avery paper. Use circle cutter to get a perfect circle and apply with double sided tape. We used some of our family’s favorites… Cookies are store bought, cookies to take home were home made by a local baker in my home town.
And the day of…
My fabulous mom made dresses for the dolls to match their wedding dresses... (which she also made!) Dolls are from American Girl – Jess. My mom’s a great seamstress and made the doll dresses from a pattern from G Street. Each doll has a necklace the girl’s initials to tell them apart…
Close up of take home boxes. Boxes were ordered from the interenet – just search for pink pastry boxes. Tied with ribbon from JK Ribbon and secured with round stickers with our monogram – also made in Publisher, printed out on full sheet lables.
All wraped up and sealed with our monogram.
Our guest book table and pictures of the moms. Pitchers were seperated to say “Childhood Memories” “Wishes for the Couple” and “Marriage Advice”. Cards are from PaperSource.
The table cards. These are concert tickets – scanned and printed tickets of conerts we’ve been to with each person / couple. I also created a generic “Shannon and Dai’s wedding” for guests that we did not have another ticket for. These went over really well! This was all done with card stock from Paper Source, and designed in Publisher. Card backing designs match the suitcases. Tickets were secured with an eyelet.
We numbered our tables with pictures of us at the various concert venues in the area.. this one is the Verizon Center… We took all the pictures in Sepia, while holding the white poster board. Then I dropped into Publisher and added the table numbers in pink. Printed on photo paper…
The Tent. Thank goodness for Janice at Festive Foods and Mary Louise at the Birkby House for pulling it all together for me!
The fabulous suitcases that started the pink and green madness. These were used for out of town guests, down the aisle and on the tables… Thanks Marshalls!
Programs and fans… Fans we ordered from an Ebay seller and added a circle with our monogram – PaperSource card stock. The programs I designed in Publisher and printed on card stock. The back of the program had a picture of the old Arthur Andersen building in Tysons – where we met and where many of our friends met…
We served lemonaide and tea before the ceremony started. Containers were bought at Container Store – ribbon run through card stock and all secured with double sided tape.
Close up of suitcases.
Bathroom goodies. Items were from the Target travel bins…
Gifts to the guys – their ties. They also all went drag racing together in Dulles the day before. They all LOVED it. Dai’s not a golfer – so this was the next best activity. The even give trophies out to the first three winners. The guys were talking about it all weekend.
The cake.
My menu cards with names. Again, PaperSource and Publisher…
Close up of place settings.
The awesome bouquets by Petals Edge. Each bridesmaid carried a bouquet made up of a single flower from mine. Mine was alternating circles of white and green…
