BelhurstBride

Below are some ideas I have collected since I began knotting in May 2006.
They've definitely evolved over the time I've been planning, and as much fun as this time has been I'm getting very anxious to get married!

Planning Photos

Wedding Colors

Espresso, ivory and light pink with accents of deep red.

Altar decorations; eight vases of peonies.

The view.

Bouquets

My bouquet is going to be similar to the ones pictured above, made of peonies and roses.

The BM bouquets will be the same as mine, but more pink and smaller.

Centerpieces
I'm going to have two different centerpieces.

Inspiration pictures for half of the centerpieces; these will be on tall vases.

The Details

Our tables will be dressed in ivory damask linens and brown napkins. The favors will be placed at each place setting.

Favors: Homemade chocolate covered peanut butter balls, our favorite treat.
A headtable is one thing I'm having a ridiculously hard time talking FI out of doing. I plan on using pillar candles and the BM bouquets to decorate it.

We're going to include a collection of photographs of our families' weddings somewhere at the reception. Throughout that display we want to include
pictures of our dogs all dolled up for the occassion. This is as close as they're getting to the wedding! photocredit: MrsDonkey

FI's favorite part, a cigar bar.

We are using this book as our guestbook.
FI and I each grew up in the Finger Lakes Region and were excited to flip through this book and find so many
beautiful pictures of the places we love to spend time at.

We are renting a boat to transport the wedding party, their signficant others and our parents to the reception.
It's definitely not the 67' Vicem pictured here, but it is something that will allow us to relax with those closest to us,
on our favorite source of recreation, Seneca Lake.

My Dress
Melissa Sweet Hallie

I had an additional foot added to the length of the train.
My first fitting will be in March.

It's finally here!
I bought my dress at Kleinfeld in NYC in May of 2007.
When it arrived I had it shipped to my parent's home in Upstate NY.

I was very pleased with how the dress arrived. Considering that it wasn't a large poofy dress I was extremely surprised at the size of the box.
Inside the box the dress was completely stuffed with tissue to prevent any wrinkling, this method proved to be successful. :)
I can now say that I am 100% satisfied with my Kleinfeld experience.

It needs to be taken in.

The additional length on the train.

I ordered my 130" drop veil from Occansey Designs. (obridal.com)

With my mom in her dress.

Something Old

My grandmother gave me this bracelet to wear. The bracelet was a gift to her mother on her mother's confirmation.
She predicts that it is 114 years old.

Something Borrowed
Both the purse and rosary are borrowed from FI's grandmother. The purse is the purse she used for her wedding.
The rosary she purchased during a trip to Italy, directly from the Vatican.

The Groom and his Groomsmen and Groomswomen

Tuxedos by Lauren by Ralph Lauren.
FI will be wearing an ivory vest and tie, the groomsmen will be in a black vest and tie.

The Groomswomen will wear whatever they please.

 DIY and Things Paper

Asking Bridesmaids
I asked each of my bridesmaids by mailing handwritten notes along with a bottle of champagne.
Everyone said they loved them- I think they just liked having alcohol delievered at their door.

Bridesmaid Newsletter

Call me bridezilla, but I created a Bridesmaid Newletter in order to
make getting information to nine bridesmaids a little bit easier on me.
I would only recommend this if your BMs have expressed an interested in your planning,
if they didn't care before they're really going to laugh at you now.

DIY Save-the-Dates
First picture: Inside of the STD card.
Second picture: All of the inserts we included. These contained additional information about the wedding, the reception and
suggested accommodations.
I also included a small STD for the RD to the OOT guests we would like to include.

Invitations
We DIYed our invitations.
The pocketfolds were ordered from cardsandpockets.com
The linen cardstock was ordered from anchorpaper.com
The envelopes were ordered from paper-source.com
The ribbon and stationary for the envelope liners were bought from Michael's.
The fonts are a mix of fonts from my personal computer.

I printed the invitations and inserts on 8x11 sized paper and cut after the fact.
It was definitely quite time consuming, but saved me from printing issues related to precut paper in a variety of sizes.

Inserts includes information regarding directions to the ceremony and reception, accomodations, reception and a day after brunch.

We decided against doing inner envelopes, instead we personalized each response card to specify who exactly is invited.

DIY Calligraphy.

Stuffed, sealed and ready to be mailed! :)

I decided to use the leftover cardstock to make our own Thank You notes.

Rehearsal Dinner Invitations

The paper is leftover Neenah Classic Linen paper from making our wedding invitations.
The stationary is Rusty Pickle paper ordered from stationary.com

The ribbon is from papermart.com
The paper is from paper-source and was leftover from other DIY projects.

Menu
I designed these in PowerPoint and couldn't even tell you who I knabbed the design idea from.
The linen paper is from anchor-paper.com and the cardstock is from paper-source.com

Ceremony Programs
I designed these in PowerPoint. The Ceremony is going to be a full Catholic mass.
The linen paper is from anchor-paper.com and the cardstock is from paper-source.com

An additional page included the wedding party.

Programs, petal cones and favors packed up and ready to get out of my house!

DIY Centerpiece Trial

My test run of my DIY centerpieces. Votives will be added in addition to what's pictured here.
I used a bag of 300 silk rose petals. I ordered 12,000 real rose petals from fiftyflowers.com to use the day of.

2. Go to tinyurl.com. Make it a tinyurl and then C&P it into this code. <*img src="yourtinyurl.comhere", remove the * and "&"'s.
3. To change the size then add width into your code <*img width=150 src="yourtinyurl.comhere" again remove the * and "&"'s. If 150 is too small increase the size until you are satisfied.
