Our wedding was June 21st, 2008 at Belle Victorian Gardens in Deer Park, WA. We had an amazing wedding day with beautiful weather and lots of friends, family and fun. We couldn't have asked for anything more perfect. Our cute ring bearer, just chillin' DH doing the "Heisman" The Girls Back to PRO PICTURES Back to Top My mom had the diamond from her wedding ring taken out and made into a pendant. It was my something borrowed and something old. My parents have been married for 31 years, my mom prefers to wear a plain silver band on her ring finger. Jason got me a little jewelry box as a wedding gift. He was so proud of himself for finding one in our wedding colors. In the bride's suite there was a screen door that led out to a balcony, my rb and fg were having a good time with it! The girls on the balcony outside the suite. Our First Look Back to PRO PICTURES Back to Top After we saw eachother, we walked all over the grounds of our venue and checked everything out. It was the first time we got to see everything set up, like the tables, centerpieces, aisle decor, guest book table etc. It was so fun walking around with him and it really took the edge off with the nerves. Ceremony Back to PRO PICTURES Back to Top The guestbook pens, programs and matches in the back there. The reason I chose matches as favors is because I wanted guests to have something to light their sparklers with at the send-off. They were passed out again at the end of the night. Match box favors, see description above. Our signature frame was set up on an easle. My dad is so hansom! We had four "poms" lining each side of the aisle, I loved how it looked! Mr and Mrs! Recessional Making it official! Reception Back to PRO PICTURES Back to Top Our big entrance! Here is us at our sweetheart table. That's our coordinator lighting our candles, she also placed our bouqeuts into those vases shortly after this pic was taken. My sister and my dad were totally cracking up in this picture! My BIL's toast was hilarious! Our beautiful cakes! A family friend made them, I love how they turned out! We danced to "First Dance" which is a beautiful song by a guy named Corey Smith (I think he is a country singer), it can be found on itunes. My dad and I danced to "Ordinary Miracle" by Sarah McLachlan. At the end of our dance, my mom came up and danced the last few seconds with us, it was the sweetest moment! The obligatory "ring in bouquet" shot. We had about 300 candles floating in the pond, I guess a gust of wind blew most of them out but it was beautiful while it lasted. I'm pretty sure Jason had busted out "the robot" here in the circle. This is my beautiful, smart and talented niece, Peyton. She loves to dance and busted moves all night long, here are two of the many shots we got of her on the dance floor. After seeing these pics we all decided that the five years of ballet/hip hop dance classes she's had have definitely paid off! "Friends in low places" "the choo choo train" My BIL is hilarious in this picture, he was so trashed! They did an excellent job with everything, including coordinating our whole event! A couple (very minor) things went wrong but didn't effect the amazing day we had. Officiant - Dennis Tomlinson-A+ The pastor at our church. He did a great job with not only our ceremony but all our pre-marital counseling too. Reception Location - same as ceremony Caterers - Beacon Hill-A++ I cannot say enough good things about Beacon Hill. They provided top notch service, delicious food and just went above and beyond with everything. They even matched their uniforms to our wedding colors which I thought was adorable (brown aprons and pink hair bows)! Cake Creator - a personal friend A friend of the family made our cakes, which I think turned out great! Florist - Loretta at Yoke's-A Great job! When we arrived at our venue everything was already set up and looked great, she did use a couple of colors (light purple and darker pinks than I wanted) that weren't in our scheme, but it was minimal and I doubt anyone noticed. Photographer - Mr. J-A- We got our pros back, we loved the shots that we got and think Mr. J has a great tallent. Some complaints we had are: We wished he would have taken more pics of guests and details. Also, he's a bit "old-school" in the way he does things, he doesn't have a blog or one of those websites where he can post your pics for online viewing like most photogs have these days. Videographer - ADVP-not yet rated Arrived late, holding up the ceremony by about 30 minutes. It turned out to not be that big of a deal and I think they got shots of everything. I can't wait to see the video! Disc Jockey - Kevin James-A++ Best DJ I have ever heard. He also hosts one of our local morning shows. Transportation - A Little Class-B They arrived slightly late (a couple minutes maybe) to pick us up but it didn't really matter as we were running a little late ourselves. The limo was an older classic type and very lovely. It was a nice touch and fun to ride to our hotel in. Invitations - DIY Jeweler - Tiffany's and JDC-A+ Tiffany's was great, as was Jewelry Design Center. Tuxedos - Mr. Tux-B+ We had a few problems with the tuxes, one didn't fit right and some buttons snapped off a couple of others but they gave us a good price on them and I loved the look. My Dress - La Belle Elaine's-C Overpriced and not great service IMO but nice dresses. Bridesmaid Dresses - J. Crew-A The bridesmaid dresses were great. I got them on sale and they came right away, plus they are totally re-wearable. I love J. Crew's style. Hair Stylist - Karen Paul-A+ Loved my hair! Makeup Artist - The Makeup Studio-A Very pricey (overpriced IMO) but did a great job. Wedding Coordinator - Pam Terpstra-B+ A few minor issues but she did a good job. Honeymoon Destination - St. Lucia!!! Loved our honeymoon. We stayed at Ladera and Sandals Grande and just had a fabulous time! Travel Agent - Jay at Unforgettable Honeymoons Jay was good to work with. Other Vendor - Twigs and Honey The most beautiful hair pieces. Myra is great to work with, she is super busy and still managed to have my order done with less than a months time. I loved it and wished I could have worn several in my hair, that might have been over-doing it though :)
