Key West Vendor Review (other vendors @ bottom)
Hyatt: Service/Room/Food:A+   Onsite coordinator: C

Although we had our planner, the coordinator at the Hyatt was barely around and was not reliable at all. Good thing I didn’t have to deal with her much. As for the rest of the Hyatt, the service was amazing, friendly staff, very attentive. The rooms were amazing and it was definitely worth the room rate. I barely noticed renovation construction and the pool area and grounds were beautiful. The food is top notch – way better than I expected for a hotel. And better than any restaurant I’ve been to in Key West.

Marie Pierre Sander, Make-up Artist: A

Marie Pierre was a trip and a half. She’s French, she’s fun and she does an amazing job. The photos did not capture the real beauty of the hair, b/c she made me feel like I looked like Eva Langoria. She is expensive, but worth the money.

Sebago Watersports – A+

The cruise was amazing. The staff was professional, helpful and friendly, the boat was beautiful, and the ride was fun. They let Michael raise a sail and let his sister steer the boat -  so much fun!!

Sebago Catering – B-

Although there was plenty of food, it wasn’t quite up to my standards. It was good enough for munchies, but I’m a food snob so I wasn’t too impressed. The price was reasonable though.

 Mama’s Flowers: A+

They are amazing. The bouquets were perfect. The bouts/corsages were very pretty. But the ceremony was absolutely amazing. They did everything I had envisioned and it was flawless down to every last detail.

Soundwave Productions: A

Jimmy was great! He played a good mix of latin and dance music and kept the party going strong all the way through! He played most of what was on the playlist, especially the important ones!

 Melvin the Steel Drummer: A+

This guy is awesome. Beautiful steel drum music, he even had Mike and I play “twinkle twinkle little star” on the drums – it was so cool. He is super cheerful and also sang!!

Charity DeMeer, Photographer – A

I have a feeling the photos came out great! She specializes in candids, so I am interested to see what kind of shots she got. She loved that I knew what I wanted and did 99% of my must have shots.

Salon 126 (Manicure) - Gabby was great. She takes her time and my nails came out perfect.

Tami Lynch, Wedding Planner: B

Day of, Tami was great. During the months before the wedding, I really didn’t feel like she was very attentive, but she did have a baby through it all and my day did come out perfect. I wish she had been more strict and organized about our budget, b/c I was writing out checks at the end of my reception which I wasn’t thrilled about. And she took the liberty of using a cc # she had for us instead of taking a check we had for a vendor.

 Tom Stroh, Officiate: A

Tom was great. He worked with me to make our readings and ceremony exactly what I wanted. He made it meaningful, lighthearted and brought spirituality to our ceremony.

 Expert Appeal, Boudior Photographer: A+

Alain and Angela made me feel so comfortable and they have a beautiful studio and do AMAZING work! Michael LOVED his book and I can say enough about how great they were to work with.

Advice:

Get your vendor checks together WAY in advance. Don’t leave it till the last minute. Break in your shoes. Get to your destination at least a day or two before everyone else and leave a day or two after. It was nice to have some couple time. Don’t sweat the small stuff – and as long as you are married to your honey, everything went the way it was supposed to.
