Nathan and I have been together for 9 1/2 years. We started dating my freshman, his sophomore year, of high school. I was 15 and he was 16. We both work full time. We own our own home in Dallas, TX. Almost all of my family is in Connecticut and New Jersey, so we decided to get married New Jersey. We have a beautiful, sweet, 6 year old pit bull that we have had since he was 6 weeks old.

Nathan proposed on August 18, 2007 in a place that was incredibly meaningful and special to the both of us. It was perfect!

This picture is of a ring that is pretty close to what mine looks like.

If you need to find me, page me on the Dallas or North New Jersey boards. :)

Nathan and I went on our first cruise with Royal Caribbean at the end of September 2007. We went to (in order of pictures) Antigua, Barbados, St. Lucia, St. Maarten, and St. Thomas. We also went to Puerto Rico, but that isn't pictured here. The picture of us was taken by a photographer on the ship.

We took our engagement pictures at the end of October 2007 at Texas Stadium. We are huge Cowboy fans, so just getting to go on a tour of the stadium was awesome. Our photographer was Charlya Williams, who was beyond amazing and so easy to work with. Her website is www.charlyawilliamsphotography.com .

I made these cards. For the girls, I used white greeting cards, pink paisley paper, pink glitter letters, and pink paisley stickers. For the guys, I used white greeting cards, silver paper, and silver glitter letters.

So.... I found "The Dress"!!!! I am so excited! I was worried that I wouldn't find it. My Mom and I found it at the first, and only store that we went to. I wasn't really sure if I would have "The Moment" when I tried on the dress, but I definitely did. I was not a bride who planned things, or really thought about wedding stuff, until we got engaged. That being said, I really wasn't sure what I wanted in a dress. I ended up picking the opposite of what I had been looking at online. I hear that happens a lot. So, I got the dress, and the other accessories to wear with it. :)

I want to keep my dress a surprise. My Mom, my Bridal Party, and Nathan's Mom have seen me in it, but those are the only people that I want to see my dress before the wedding, so I don't want to post a picture of it on here.

I love all three of these looks. I would like something classic and light, but I would like to glam it up a litle bit.

So for hair, I'm pretty sure that I want half up, and half down, and curled.

I like all of these looks.

I am wearing this Cowboys garter! :)

This is my wedding band.

I really like this purse for the day of.

We have chosen the bridesmaid dresses and we love them!

The picture on the left is the front of the dress, and the center picture is the back of the dress. The picture on the right is the actual color the dresses will be in. They are from Alfred Angelo.

The bridesmaids will be wearing any silver, strappy shoe of their choice. They will look similar to these styles.

I'm not sure yet about jewlery for the bridesmaids. I think these necklaces are super cute though.

This picture is what our our bridal party will look like. Our dresses are close to the same color purple, and the tuxes will will be black.

Nathan has picked out his tux. The tux is in the middle. A picture of the vest and tie are on the right, and a close up picture of the vest and the tie are on the left. He will have a white shirt, and white shoes also.

This is Nathan's wedding band.

Nathan has picked out the groomsmen's tuxes also. The picture in the middle is the tux. The picture on the right is of the vest and tie, and the picture on the left is a close up of the vest and tie. They will have a black shirt, and black shoes.

This is a picture of the front and back of the save the dates. They are mounted with silver paper in between. A graphic artist, Priscilla Myers, designed them, and I cut, glued, stamped, and addressed them.

Pictures of them through the stages of putting them together and getting them ready to be mailed out.

Our invites are done!  All paper, pocketfolders, and envelopes are from www.cardsandpockets.com .  They absolutely rock and are awesome to work with!  The stamp used for our return address and address on our rsvp cards was purchased from http://stores.ebay.com/loongchai74 .  The L stamp used on the inside of the invite, and on the outside of the invitation was purchased from http://www.impressrubberstamps.com .

I love how she used the same graphic to tie in all pieces in her invites. I would like to also use the same graphic to tie in all the pieces in mine, as well as place cards, programs, and menu cards.

I like these also.

I like how she used the belly band as an inner envelope.

This is an ever changing category for me. I am not really sure yet what I want. Our linens at our venue will be damask white. I plan on making table runners to put on the tables also.

Our main color is dark purple, and we will most likely use black and white as accent colors.

These are our centerpieces. We got them on a clearance from Crate and Barrel online. We may put rose petals around the base on the tables.

I like some of these things too.

We decided to do a crystal tree on our place card table.  We have purchased the manzanita branches at www.save-on-crafts.com .

We are very proud and love our heritages. The Irish charm is for me, while the Native American one is for him. We would love to display that, and we think our families would too. I would like to include these charms on our invites and/ or programs. These are from www.chubbychicocharms.com .

We love the idea of doing a cool guestbook. I think it would be super cute to come home from the honeymoon and read everything the guests said, or even on the plane to the honeymoon.

This is from www.guestbookstore.com .

I think that making one would be pretty easy too. That way, it could be more personalized and go with our theme.

I would also like to make, and give one of these to each guest.

These are cute ring bearer pillows.

This is the aisle runner that I made.  I really like how it came out.  I used purple paint, and 3mm amethyst rhinestones on the L.

These are the toasting flutes that my Mom got us. We picked them out and we love them! They are from Lenox. They have small pearls in the handles of the flutes and servers.

I really like peonies. I'm not really a huge flower person, but peonies are probably my favorite flowers in bouquets. Unfortunately, peonies are just at about the end of their season for our wedding. We could get peonies, but the quality is too risky. They are an expensive flower to get, especially that time of year, and we just can't be guaranteed that the quality of them will be good enough to use. So, I have decided to go with roses and lisianthus in my bouquet, in the antique-y light pinks and off- whites. Nathan's bout will be a white rose. This is my favorite bouquet.

The bridesmaids bouquets will be lisianthus and stock, all in purple. The women's corsages will be lisianthus. The groomsmen, and men's bouts will be lisitanthus, in purple.

I really like how a brooch looks pinned to the bouquets. I have started collecting a few. Here is a picture of how it looks on the bouquet, and the few that I have so far.

We have booked our venue!!!! Our ceremony and reception will both be held at the same venue.

At our ceremony, we will have a floral covered arch, chair covers, and an aisle runner. I plan on making a customized aisle runner.

At our reception, will probably use the long, oval tables to seat people, as opposed to the round ones.

The picture on the left is the cake that we are pretty sure that we will have. We don't want the monogram though.

The picture on the right is our cake topper. My step- mother gave it to us as an engagement present.

I just recently found this picture on someone else's bio. I cannot remember who it is. I will credit you, if this is your picture. Just let me know. :) I sent it to our venue to see if they could make this cake, or something really similar. We love it!

We are going to Turks and Caicos!  We are super excited!  We did LOTS of research about LOTS of different places.  We chose Turks and Caicos because every traveller review and picture that I have read confirm just how beautiful these islands are.  We wanted somewhere relaxing, and Turks and Caicos fits perfectly.  They are supposed to be exactly as in the pictures.  Absolutely beautiful ocean and fine white powdery sand.  We are very happy with our choice and can't wait to go!  I've done lots of research as these aren't yet, very common islands to go to, so if you have any questions, just let me know.  :)
