VENDOR REVIEWS: FOURTH PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH A+: So, I know this normally isn't considered a vendor but I have to comment on how amazing the wedding staff is. The day of they had three coordinators to insure things went smoothly as well as 3 back-up plans in case of any type of emergency. They also helped find ceremony musicians for us and coordinated directly with them to insure they knew what, when and where. The ceremony musicians were AMAZING! They were outsourced from the Lyric and did such a fantastic job. So many of our guests commented on how beautiful it was and said they felt like they were at a concert before the ceremony began. The music director also help us pick all of our ceremony music which was awesome and everything flowed beautifully. BOTANICALS A+++: WOW, I could not believe my eyes when they opened the door to show me the room. It was so incredibly gorgeous. They took all of my ideas and executed them beautifully. We worked with Jesse who is not only a blast but has such great ideas to enhance your design as well as help make your wedding your own. He personally delivered our bouquets to us and was there from start to finish. They also handled the linens and worked with the visual staff on the pin-lighting. Everything was on time and absolutely perfect. THE SOFITEL CHICAGO WATER TOWER A+: Laura Ekker and her whole staff are awesome to work with. I couldn't even count how large the staff was the day of. From the valet to the banquet manager they were on top of everything and always one step ahead. They treated us like celebrities. And so many of our guests commented on how attentive they were. The food was delicious and still piping hot (even though DH and I were 45 mins late). A lot of the guests commented on how awesome the food was. MALIKS ULTIMATE BAND A+++: They were AWESOME! They had the dance floor packed the whole night and we extended for an hour. They are amazing singers and totally got the crowd involved and read them perfectly. We didn't request any songs and just let them play what people would dance to and they were dead on. Not only are they AMAZING talents but they are a blast. I loved that they have both men and women singers and can sing ANYTHING...literally, we were amazed. And the brass was so awesome. So many of our guest said it was the best wedding band they had ever seen. And...Malik's voice will make you melt. KEVIN WEINSTEIN PHOTOGRAPHY A+++: I heart Kevin. He is so fun to work with and such an outstanding photographer. He had our pictures on Pictage a week after the wedding and has been such a pleasure to work with. The photos are so gorgeous it's going to be difficult to make an album. He captured us beautifully as well as our guests. The pictures of our parents and grandparents are so moving. He also captured some really hilarious expressions. And the city shots and detail shots are so awesome I felt like I was looking at a bridal magazine. I love how he put an artistic twist on the photos of the church and hotel; they literally look like pieces of artwork. Every time I look at the photos I love them more. I also love how he captured so many things that we didn't notice it was almost like being a guest but even better. ULTIMATE BRIDE A: So, I really hated them my first visit but feel in love with the dress and didn't want to go through the hassle of shipping to a different store so I just went with them. They REALLY redeemed themselves in the upcoming months and I ended up liking them. The alterations department is fantastic! They totally transformed my dress and made it fit like a glove. I purchased the bolero at the third fitting. They sold me the sample so I could avoid a rush fee and get a discount. It was huge but they were able to alter it in plenty of time and it fit beautifully. They had the dress and bolero altered and pressed a week before the wedding and were incredibly nice in the end. So overall I’m really glad I went with them. FORMALLY MODERN TUXEDO A: They have a great selection and are nice to work with.
