Planning Bio

Here we are! Isn't he just too cute? (he's really not that red! And he HATES having his picture taken, but I make him do it every once in awhile)

Here we are after a LONG day of birthday mishaps(mine). EVERYTHING that could go wrong on my birthday did. OH WELL! It's defintely a funny story to share.

Here is the ring! Sorry for the poor quality! Isn't it pretty though? It was my grandmother's engagement ring. It is three 0.4ct. diamonds. On the right is my wedding band.

This is FI's band. He hasn't seen it yet, I think he's gonna LOVE IT!

Here is my dress, it's going to be ice pink! I decided on this dress because not only does it fit the time period, but it's so practical. I will also purchase the matching strapless top in case I decide to change at the reception. I know it's not very bride-y, but I LOVE it-and since it won't be in white, I can wear it again. I guess I'm just sort of practical that way.

And here is the hair! (Courtesy of:www.hallmarkent.com. This style is from the 'The Five People You Meet in Heaven)

And from the Front:

I finally decided on a veil! Here is the inspiration! This is similar to my grandmother's veil from 1949. The picture is also from the fils "The Five People You Meet in Heaven".

I think I may have found my shoes! These are from Nina, and if I get them I will buy them in silver.

We will be getting married at the 94th Aero Squadron. Our ceremony will be outside, and the reception will be downstairs (inside). Here are some pictures of the front of our venue.

This is the Rickenbacker Room where our reception will take place. (that is a fireplace in the background.)

Flowers

Our centerpieces are going to be EXACTLY like this! All of our linens are ivory, except for the napkins, which are a light green color.

I finally decided on a bouquet! This is it! The only difference will be the color, instead of light pink, my bouquet will be a deep fuschia! My bridesmaids will have smaller versions of mine in the light pink.

The aisle at the ceremony will have urns like these with a faint pink baby's breath in them. It will look very similar to this. There will be two at the front of the aisle, and two at the back.

Our Vera Wang toasting flutes!

I LOVE this cake! We'll probably get a small version for cutting, and havelarge sheet cakes(cut in the kitchen for serving). Thanks to the knot cake pages for the pic.

This is going to be the BM Dress color from Aria - Mist. My Maid of Honor's dress will be peacock, it's a MUCH prettier color in person. I'm trying to keep it simple - AND re-wearable, so I'm going to let my girls pick their own style. www.ariadress.com

MIST PEACOCK

They have chosen! We had a GREAT time at Aria! If you're considering using them-DO! Page me if you have any questions. Here are the dresses:

MOH & a BM have chosen this one, but without the sash.

One BM has chosen this.

My sister has chosen this one.

I FINALLY chose our FG dresses. Here they are! I think they are so cute! And guess what? They're from Target!

Here is my "Will you be my bridesmaid?" card. Inside it will say something like, "will you join me on this wild journey and be my bridesmaid?" I saw these and HAD to pick them up. The green dress on the front sold me! (besides, I love this art anyway. heehee) I've asked! and they all said 'YES'!

This is me and my best friend and MOH. She is the reason FI and I FINALLY got together 2 and half years ago.

Stationary

I just received our Rehearsal Dinner invitations. These are also from vistaprint.com. I have been extremely pleased with everything I've ordered through them. I HIGHLY recommend VistaPrint!

Here are our STD magnets from vistaprint.com! They are SOOO Cute in person! We are going to tack them onto black notecards and add a handwritten message(in silver ink) for each guest. I'll have to scan the final product later!I can't wait!

These are the invitations we have chosen! The envelope liner and text will be silver, and the font will be different. They are from www.theamericanwedding.com

Here are the valet parking cards I made. They will be included in the invitation since our ceremony and reception are at the same location.

Our China & Silverware

This is the Noritake Rochelle Platinum pattern. It was the one set FI and I could agree on. It was fun shopping for it though!
