People came on Friday evening for our rehearsal dinner and left Sunday morning after breakfast. No one had to drive anywhere all weekend. Everyone had so much fun; it was completely relaxing since we were under no time constaints the whole weekend. This photo was taken Friday night during our casual rehearsal dinner. We raided the wedding booze a little early to make some mimosas I was so excited to see the flowers! Finally time to go meet my groom:) Waiting patiently for the VERY late bride...haha Off to take some formal pics before the ceremony The guest book table and pre-ceremony beverages set up- meh. Didn't turned out as I had planned it. Oh well- I didn't even see these tables during the wedding so whatever. The kids find some entertainment before the ceremony begins... Some more details before the ceremony... My cute little niece. She was so in love with her basket that she wouldnt dare throw any of the flowers! And then it happened....the moment my poor little nephew will never ever live down. After handing off the pillow, he runs over to the tree that the ceremony was under, pulls down his pants, arches his back and takes a wiz at the base of the tree...it was hilarious and gave everyone a much needed laugh at a moment when many people were on the verge of tears! See him in the background??And the reaction...Anxiously awaiting our time to walk. I was sooo nervous and my dad really helped keep me calm... One last quiet moment to take it all in. I will always remember this moment. My walk down the aisle to Canon in D. Very traditionalAfter a THREE year engagement, I was pretty excited to finally walk down the aisle:)Our ceremony was very traditional. To me there is something special about reciting the same vows that my parents recited when they were married and my DH parents' recited. It was insanely hot and those program fans were well used!Reading #1: i carry your heart by ee cummings, read by a childhood friendReading #2: 1 Corinthians 13This was a special one for us because it was read at MIL's wedding and we had her read it at ours.Declaration of intentBest kiss ever. A quiet moment together as newlyweds Our celebratory drink of choice: Whiskey on the rocks. Cocktail hour linens did not make it on the tables...grrr. Again, not something I even noticed. I hung lanterns from this tree. You cant see them all that well but there were about 20 of them and they looked amazing at night time.Note to self: Do not attempt to grow your own wheatgrass. It became a strange wedding obsession of mine. I obsessed over it every day. I am certain my neighbors thought I was crazy when they saw me trimming baskets of grass everyday with a pair of scissors on my little apt. balcony and yelling at my cat everytime she even thought about eating it. It looked great until 2 days before the wedding when it suddenly died and triggered a horribly irrational emotional breakdown about the entire wedding. Luckily my amazing florist managed to get two sheets of it for a whopping $20. Shoulda thought of that sooner. Some reception details... I heart my florist:)You can sort of see the oh-so-famous candy buffet in the background. It got raided before the reception even started.DH insisted on his favorite candy rather than color coordinated candy. Bridezilla was not happy about it. Homemade strawberry jam. It was sooo yummy and DH and I had a great time making it the week before the wedding.DH gave a great "thank you" speech to all our guests to start off the receptionDH was slightly afraid of what the bestman would say! lol! My sister gave the most touching, sweetest toast ever. I think everyone was in tears. It was amazing. My mother talking about grandchildren already. We snuck off right before dinner to take these few pics around sunset Our cake was totally melted. Its a long story... It was way too hot for dancing. So the party moved to the bar and to the swimming pool. We had to delay our honeymoon until December due to our school schedules. We are going to Kauai and we cannot wait!
