My wedding day was one of the best days of my life!!! The whole wedding party got ready at the Lafayette Park Hotel and both the ceremony and reception were at the Brazilian Room in Tilden Park. I was such a stressed out mess before the wedding but on the day of I let it all go thanks to my DOC. I received so many compliments on all of the details I added that it made it feel like all of my blood, sweat and tears were worth it!
I don't mind any of my photos being used but please credit me and the photgrapher. All the photos below are by Jennifer Skog & Kristian Iskander.
If you have any queations please email me at jennifersorkin@hotmail.com since I rarely am on The Knot anymore.

ADVICE FROM THE BRIDE:
*Leave extra room for getting ready and then leave more! Nothing is worse then being rushed when you are trying to get beautiful for your wedding day. If you are rushed, you will feel "off" the rest of the day.
*Make sure you have water on you at all times before the wedding. You get so dehydrated and when you realize you need it, there may not be any around.
*Re-apply your lipstick after the ceremony before your pictures. I was pissed when I had none on when I got the photos back.
*Try to take time out with your new husband. Even when I had read this advice, it was still hard. Thinking back, neither of us felt like we were ever together and this was a HUGE regret for us.
*Don't leave for your honeymoon the next day. We left a day in between and I wish we would have left one more. You are sooo tired I cannot even describe it.
*Don't see your husband before the wedding. I know everyone has strong feelings for or against this. All I can say was that it was the most amazing feeling!
*Walk SLOW down the aisle. I was nervous and speed walked down my very short aisle. I wish I would have savored the moment a bit more.
*Try to look up when you walk down the aisle even if you are crying. I was trying to pull myself together by looking down and didn't get as many great photos of my face seeing my soon to be husband for the first time.
*Have an early rehearsal and dinner so you can get to sleep at a decent hour. I wish I would have taken some tylenol PM's the night before because I did not sleep. I did not take any becuase I got back to the hotel late and by that time would have been groggy if I had taken them.
*Do a polaroid guestbook. I am soo happy I did this becuase I have a photos of many of my guests that my photographer never captured. It was also fun to look at them when we got back from the honeymoon.
ADVICE FOR THE BRAZILIAN ROOM:
* If you have the budget, RENT THE ROOM FOR THE WHOLE DAY! The whole wedding felt rushed becuase I had to "beat the sunset" for my photos. Most of the photos of DH and I and all the ones with the wedding party are in the dark with flash! UGH
*If you have the budget, get lighting. It just felt so dark to me the whole night. Over by the fireplace and the mirrors especially. It would have been amazing to see how lighting would have made that gorgeous room even more amazing.
*Block off the main bathroom and open the handicap bathroom for the ladies. I have no idea why I did not do this becuase I had heard about it but it sucked because so many people saw me before the wedding and were coming in when DH and I were trying to have a moment alone after the ceremony. We gave up in frustration.
