Ceremony Location - Riverside at Farnsley Moreman Landing - Louisville, KY
B - In the beginning we were going to have the ceremony and reception both outside, but due to concern for the weather and bugs we decided we would have the ceremony outside and the reception inside. I gave them a B because if you do decide to have the reception in the visitors center be prepared to be limited with time in regards to getting in and decorating. Another problem was that the grass had not been cut and it looked a little shaggy. The location was beautiful other than that but if we could do it all over again, we would have went with a different location.

Officiant - Diane Walker
A+ - She was awesome! We loved her and she helped us to customize our ceremony adn everyone said it was very touching. We loved her and highly recommend her.

Caterers - Marks Feed Store
C - Overall, as far as the food is concerned we were very pleased with the taste and such...however there were several mishaps that I think that they could have prevented. They started serving food while we were still outside taking pictures, they didn't bring the corn on the cobb that we paid for and they served pork (we didn't want because some of Emir's family are Muslims and they don't eat pork) when they were suppose to serve chicken and beef. We also paid for coffee, but they put it in the kitchen where the guest did not have access too. The bartenders were great though and apologized many times for the problems we experienced.

Cake Creator - Leah Stewart of the Gallery House
A+ - Leah made us feel like family when we went and had our consult with her in her home. She took inspiration from the ring Emir had bought me for Christmas several years ago so our cake had a lot of meaning for us! I made the topper and it didn't turn out the way I wanted, and I hope it didn't take away from the cake! All the guest said it was very yummy!

Florist - A Touch of Elegance
A+ - Sally was awesome! I loved her and when she delivered my flowers I cried because I thought they were so beautiful. I really didn't know how they were going to turn out because I was going off of a picture with different flowers of different colors...so it was hard to visualize what my bouquet was going to look like...but she did an amazing job and really worked with me to get the design and feel I was wanting.

Photographer - Jaclyn Johnson Photography
C+ - Jackie was great as far as her personality and willingness to help us on our wedding day. My problem with Jackie, even though I got some wonderful pictures, I didn't get what she said I would get at our consultation. I asked her how many shots she normally takes at a wedding and she said at least 600...that was my selling point, plus I was told that her husband Josh usually comes with her. So I was expecting to get two photographers and at least 600 shots from my wedding. I received half that amount of photographs and Jackie was by herself. I didn't talk to Jackie from the day after we booked her (except when I emailed her to check and make sure that she received our check in the mail because I didn't get a follow-up call) until the day before the wedding. She called me to double check on times and see if I had any questions. I did have questions, but it was the day before my wedding! I wasn't thinking about the photography, I was worried about a hundred different other details! I asked her if I needed to bring her a list of shots that I wanted and she asked if there was anything special on there...well they were all special to me but she said that she had done this before and knew which shots to get. Unfortunately for me, I trusted her and I missed out on a lot of shots that I really wanted. There are no shots of Emir by himself, except the one where he is seeing me for the first time down the aisle, which is great, but that is the only one? I wanted to do some fun shots with the pink parasols and she didn't give any direction to my attendents of Emir and I as far as what to do and the pictures reflect that. NONE of the family pictures look decent. You have people sticking out too far from the side like they are not suppose to be there and some looking the other way. My mother and grandmother were very disappointed in the family pictures. She helped me get into my dress, and set up the candy buffet, put the boutineers (sp?) on the guys and did several other things that were not her job. At the time I was really greatful but later that night when Emir and I were at the hotel talking about the day, he said she didn't get any pictures of him getting dressed or getting his boutineer on...she didn't get any real good detail shots of the candy buffet or my center pieces. These are items I worked hard on and wanted pictures of. We had to tell her what pictures to get, like, hey Jackie get a picture of us! I can't say that everything she did was bad and I did get a lot of good shots that I didn't think that she got, which surprised me alot. Especially after viewing a close friend of mines pictures from her wedding three weeks prior to mine. They were awful. And when my friend expressed her concerns for her pictures she received a long email full of excuses. Things from my LSD screen was too small (in regards to why some of the pictures had peoples tongues hanging out and eyes closed or in mid sentence)...to, well it was raining. I was at her wedding, is was a mere sprinkle that didn't last five minutes. Her unprofessionalism in regards to my friends wedding pictures really left a sour taste in my mouth and I worried for a whole month that my pictures were going to be like hers or worse. It was very stressful. There is so much more to say in this matter, but the more I think about...ugh.

Rental Company - Bella Rentals
A - Eva at Bella's really took the time to help Emir and I decide on the length and color that we wanted for our reception table linens, however upon delivery they brought one in the wrong color, which wasn't that big of a deal. They came out and set up all the chairs and came in later and took everything down.

Jeweler - Brendan Diamonds
A+ - They were wonderful. We went in and told them what our budget was and the quality and size we wanted and they really helped us to stay within our budget and still getting what we wanted.

Tuxedos - Mens Warehouse
A - It was pretty straight forward...go in...get measured...decide on what you want...pay and go pickup. We didn't have any problems with them.

My Dress - House of Brides
A+ - Loved my dress. Even though it was a knock-off of Maggie...it was a fraction of the cost and it was great. I had it altered a little bit with a local alterations woman and I just loved my dress. I could have gotten one size up, but I managed. I had originally planned on getting my dress from Bridal Warehouse, but after trying the dress on and getting fitted for it, I went to pay for it and they told me that it wasn't on sale anymore...even though the sale price was still clearly on the ticket. So I told them thanks for measuring me, I will be ordering it online for half of their sale price.

Hair Stylist - Shae
A - Who doesn't love Shae.

Wedding Coordinator - Mark Puck
He was awesome with helping us to get setup and with arrangements! Thanks Mark!

Honeymoon Destination - Sandals Resort Dunns River Viliagio
A+ - Best thing other than marrying the man of my dreams was our honeymoon. It was well worth the money and something we will always remember!
