Mandy and Jamie

Jamie and I met at work about 5 years ago and started dating shortly after. I've been expecting the proposal for a while (which he knew), but he wanted to surprise me. He took me out to a really nice dinner at the Waterworks Restaurant and I was sure it was going to happen. Well...drinks, dinner, dessert and still no proposal. I went to bed that night feeling a little disheartened.

He woke me up the next morning at 8:00AM and said, "Let's go to breakfast!" My response was something like, "What are you crazy?", party because we never go to breakfast and partly because it was 8:00AM on a Sunday! He finally convinced me to take a bike ride on Wissahickon trail down to the Valley Green Inn. We arrived before it opened and he proposed on the bench while we were waiting. It was such a happy surprise! I was wearing gloves because it was cold that morning and he offered to cut the finger off of my glove so that I could show my ring off and still be warm. He is the best!
