Nicole & Scott
Scott and I met 4 years ago on Colfax...hmmm that doesn't sound right. But actually we did since we both lived off Colfax a few blocks from one another. We got engaged about a year ago because it was about that time and we were just getting tired of people asking so here we are planning a wedding. He is my best friend and my true partner in crime - we both enjoy pulling a good prank and our friends have all fell victim. When we are not working on a new scheme we enjoy working on our house, camping, snowboarding, playing pool, hanging with our dogs, & finding new adventures. We are in the last couple months of planning our July 14th wedding at the Devils Thumb Ranch in Tabernash, Colorado. I'm a design geek at heart and putting together all the details has been an incredible amount of fun. I will update my bio as I get more pictures to add.

Our handmade cake topper courtesy of D Sharp Studios.
Buttons I designed to go along with placecards. Same artwork will be used on the table cards as well.
Tablecloths for gift table, cake table, candy bar, & guest sign in. The main tables will be covered in chocolate brown linens.
We opted for a custom poster via www.posterbride.com. Currently in the design phase this is a similar style except ours will be in green & brown with a few changes. We are going to have it matted and framed and have guests sign on the mat.
The girls dresses but in Papaya.
And for the boys....
Not really into hairy boy feet in sandals so we opted to add a bit of my FI's flavor into the mix...
Our invites laid out.

The whole wedding weekend was a total blast from start to finish. No stress, no problems, just a whole lotta fun. We spent a little over a year planning everything down to the littlest detail which made for smooth sailing. I really enjoyed collaborating with my now hubby on all the design aspects. I'm very into style & design and this was such a great creative outlet for me - it also helps that Scott's got a graphic design background. Words of wisdom: make it about the two of you, keep your guests in mind, & stop to take it all in throughout the day. Inspiration: www.stylemepretty.com, www.designsponge.blogspot.com, www.weddingbee.com, www.kenziekate.com, & www.ohjoy.com. Of course, thanks to all the Colorado knotties for all their help along the way. If you have any questions, or would like style & design help please email me at girleedenver@yahoo.com. If you use any pics please give a shout out.

Ceremony Location -
Devils Thumb Ranch
A+++++ This was such an incredible backdrop for a spectacular weekend. Jennifer Triplet, the chef, & the entire staff went so far out of their way to make it such a special weekend for everyone. I can't thank them enough. I just can't wait to go back every anniversary.
Officiant - Scott's big brother.
It was so great having him up there with us. He did a fabulous job - made us laugh & made us cry. I think he might have found a new career.

Cake Creator - Kelley @ Iced Dreams
A+ Kelley was a sweetheart to work with. The only issue was the cake was chocolate instead of yellow cake, but I'm still giving her an A+ cause everyone loved it and that's all that really matters. I definetely encourage all the brides to add a scoop of vanilla ice cream to your cake - it was a big crowd pleaser.
Florist -
Liz @ Fleur de Liz
A+++++ The flowers were beautiful and Liz was a joy to work with.
Photographer -
Katie Thurmes of Jenna Walker Photography
A++++++ Katie rocked! She was a blast to work with and her pics speak for themselves. This was the area we spent the most cash on and meant the most to us. These pictures captured our day so perfectly.
Disc Jockey -
A Music Plus
B The dj was kind of boring and somewhat unprepared. I sent a VERY detailed list of the music we wanted played 3 months prior, and of course he arrived without our entrance song. I thought this might happen so I had my IPOD all set to go.
Musicians - A Music Plus - Classical guitarist for ceremony & cocktail hour.
A+++ The guitarist did a fantastic job and played everything I requested I steered clear of traditional ceremony music except for Canon in D and instead went with a spanish influence with "Spanish Harlem", "Tan Viva", & "Theme to Carmen". Sounded so beautiful.
Invitations - Done by us.
We worked really really hard on these, but we achieved what we were after unique invitations that were totally our style and one of a kind.
Rental Company -
Table Linens
A+
Jeweler -
We designed our rings through Mary at Gustermans.
A+++ Mary did an awesome job designing our rings & she was so much fun to work with.
Tuxedos - Jims Formal Wear via The Bridal Collection
A- Some of the sizes were way way off, however the boys looked hot and that's all that matters.
My Dress - Priscilla of Boston in Cherry Creek
A++ Great customer service & I loved my dress. Should have gone for one last fitting since I accidentally lost a little weight and dress was a bit loose on top. Oh well.
Bridesmaid Dresses - Jcrew
A I picked these out a year before the wedding because I loved the color and thought it would look great in pictures.
Hair Stylist - Kut Above in Winter Park
A+++++ Loved my hair & it stayed put all night long.
Wedding Coordinator -
Danielle Odil as our day of.
A+++++ Danielle was a doll. Take my advice budget in a day of coordinator it's worth every penny - after all the hard work planning your wedding this is the one day you should take off and just enjoy it!!
Other Vendor -
Poster
A+++ I wanted something different for our guest book and found Matt's website. He did an awesome job designing the poster and it looks so cool framed with everyone's signatures along the matte.
