Mrs.Julia.Goolia's Married Bio We did it! Our wedding was the happiest day of our lives and every minute I spent planning paid off. People noticed the small things and commented that it was the most personal wedding they'd seen. So don't give up when you are sick and tired of planning! Enjoy my married bio, best viewed in a full screen. I found inspiration from other bios and hopefully I can help to do the same. Please credit me if you borrow my pictures. Thanks! My adorable mom never stopped smiling the whole day, and the flowers arrived and passed my inspection.
DH's boxers that said "I heart Julia" on them with our wedding date. My BMs gave him these, and me a matching thong. No pictures needed of the thong.
Monogrammed robes were a hit! So comfy and soft, bought them from Kohls during a big sale.
AND NOW: I CAN FINALLY PUT ON THE DRESS! Ta Da! I'm a bride. This is our classic pose, somewhat of an inside joke. It never gets old! Handsome hubby gets ready with the boys, but I doubt they had as much fun as we did.
BELOW: OUR FIRST MEETING Definitely one of the best decisions we made and probably the most special moment in my life. Veil popped off for the first of many times, but it didn't matter that this point. Who knew hubby was going to be so emotional on this day!
NEXT: OUTDOOR PHOTOS! I call these "Trying to twirl in a non-twirling dress" Arriving at the gallery, people are already cheering for us! And look at this stud drinking a Miller Lite in St. Louis. The bridesmaids check out my placecards and show off their cute bags I got for their shoes. My programs with funny blurbs about each BP member. Stupid veil yet again!
Love these shots by the red brick wall. It was just some random building in our parking lot!
Mom and her 2 sisters get a little crazy inside the gallery.
TIME FOR THE CEREMONY!! I was SO nervous here, waiting for the BP to file down. You can see my DH and his mom going down the aisle under us. DH and Grandpa watch us come down. My Grandpa was our minister, which was really special since he also married my mom and dad. We wrote our own vows and they were amazing, if I do say so myself. My poor husband LOST it!
Mr. and Mrs. Goolia!! So happy.
UP NEXT: COCKTAIL HOUR!Receiving line: we loved having time with each guest early in the night. Time to figure out a bustle and what to drink--ah the choices. And damn, that band is sexy on his finger! No cake smashing here!
And time for the toasts:I loved every toast given, even when the kids in the front got into a fist fight during MOH's speech:)
Cheers! Then upstairs for dinner. First dance as husband and wife to David Gray's "Be Mine."
Our parents dance to "What a Wonderful World" by Louis Armstrong.
We surprised my Grandma and Grandpa for their 55th anniversary with their special song from The Great Gatsby. Grandma was so happy:)
Making it legal. Isn't my Grandpa so cute? Let the dancing begin! I got a little carried away with the bouquet toss and my 17 year old cousin picked it up from the floor. Look at how pleased my uncle is with her luck. Back to dancing! From the WINDOWWWW.....to the WAAAAAALL. The bustle just couldn't handle my amazing moves. My dress was filthy by the end of the night and I had to hold it up most of the time. A little bit softer, now...
Picture 1: Any bride who does the sprinkler at her wedding is obviously having a blast.Picture 2: A bridesmaid grinding on her husband. He doesn't seem to notice.Picture 3: Get, That, Dirt off your shoulder (with two hands). Can you tell we love rap music?
Last dance to Journey's "Faithfully", fraternity brothers will never change. Circling up one more time:( Details of our day BM dresses by Aria, my dress "Miranda" by Monique Lhuillier, DIY veil, and RomanticFlowers sash. Shoes by Blue Tux, purse by J.Crew. Brooches from my great-grandmother. Bling Bling! Loved my bouquet. Escort cards on a covered bulletin board resting on an easel. I wrote a little personal note on the back of each one, too. My beloved DIY programs, hanging on our chairs. My DIY centerpieces: wrapped cyllinders and wrapped hat boxes with votives. The whole upstairs, ready for dinner. And our sweetheart table. Yummiest cake ever. My aisle candleabra decor, DIY fabric flowers made by my mom (she watches too much Project Runway and LOVES making rosettes!) They couldn't be any more girlie, right? My mom made this "shabby chic" card box with custom bobble heads for the topper from whoopassenterprizes.com. Cookie buffet with our families' recipes. They were such a hit there wasn't one cookie left over for me! And good ol' mom made these for our take out boxes. I guess I know where I get my DIY skills :) Studio B: our photographer's version of a photobooth, without the booth. Bridesmaids are cute...groomsmen are clueless. And the rest speak for themselves.
With our amazing photographers, the Browers.
Some people wrote us novels and the ones from the end of the night are funniest. We love looking through this Kolo album. How it was set up. And they lived happily ever after!
I had to remove the honeymoon pictures from Ti Kaye, St. Lucia. The bio was just too big:)Thank you for looking, page me if you have any questions! Fun Extras Back to Top
