So, what am I doing now that the wedding is over with? Well, as a fine art student at the University of Utah I switch my major from graphic design to photography. You can view my website HERE

Our photographer took 457 pictures. If you would like to see all of them here's the Gallery.

Utah Museum of Fine Arts
– A-
The art museum was the perfect location for us and so many people loved walking around the galleries. However, I scheduled our rehearsal for 6pm the night before and Anne put it into their calendar. When my father-in-law showed up an hour early and told them he was their for the rehearsal they said they didn’t have us in the schedule. When I showed up Anne was their directing the rehearsal and everything was fine. The day of the wedding Anne was awesome and very organized.

Brown Brothers Catering
– A –
The price and service was great!! The guests loved the white and milk chocolate fountains. It was picked clean and there was a crowd around them during the whole event. Our wedding cake was just as I had pictured with very yummy white fondant. The best man said the meatballs were amazing and he kept getting plates full of them but he was disappointed that they put them away once dinner was served. They did a great job with our caramel apple favors but it looked like the caramel melted a little on the drive over to the art museum. We ended up with a bag full of caramel apples at our house from people that forgot to take them or no shows. The guests had a great time drinking all the white and red wine.

Whimsy Floral and Design
– A+++ -
I was very pleased with all of the floral arrangements. Liz had an army at her house busting their butts doing all the flowers for us. I stopped by at 10:00 am and picked up the flowers for my hair and the bridesmaids hair. The flowers were amazing! Liz knew exactly what I wanted and I felt like she read my mind on a number of things. When I showed up at the UMFA she had everything set up and ready to go. She had a bit of a panic when she saw that the UMFA added tall café style tables without centerpieces. I told her I had it covered and gave her our personalized red cocktail napkins to put in the center of the tables. The bouquets were perfect, the centerpieces were shocking, and the staircase flowers were so modern! All of the colors and flowers were perfect!

Melissa Pace Band
– A –
The first dance and parent dance were wonderful and Melissa is such an amazing singer! All we had to do was tell Melissa what was going to happen next and she announced it to all the guests. The band was great when it came to throwing the bouquet and garter because they did a drum roll and “sassy music”. One of my little cousins (about 2 years old) was really into the band and was dancing right next to Melissa. Melissa crouched down and sang to the little baby girl! The band was great and more people danced then I had expected. She kept telling people to get up here and celebrate!

Joshua Brothers (Solo Violinist)
– A -
I had such a hard time finding a solo violinist until I found one on the local Craigs List. He was very professional and responded to email very quickly. He was all dressed up in a black and white tuxedo with a bow tie. The live music was great and he was such a good price. He came up to us after the ceremony to introduce himself and say good-bye. I felt so bad that my husband left his wallet at home with the tip money.

A Bride Beautiful
– A+++ -
I saw my wedding dress in a bridal magazine a year before we got engaged. I ripped out the page and kept it until after we got engaged and then I made my first stop to A Bride Beautiful. I brought in the picture and told Lisa that I wanted this dress. They didn’t have a sample dress for me to try on so I tried on about 5 wedding dresses that were all gold. I went to one other bridal store and tried on some more dresses. They all grayed in comparison to the picture of the dress all crumbled up in my purse. I kept comparing every dress to the original one. I knew I wouldn’t be happy unless I got that dress. So, I went back to A Bride Beautiful and ordered the dress from Demetrios without ever trying it on. It took about 4 months to make and 1 month for alterations. The dress looked better in person then it did in the picture. I was so happy with the service at A Bride Beautiful.

Judge Leslie Lewis
– C –
I called 10 judged and she was the only one that called me back. We set up an appointment to meet with her at Barnes and Noble on a Sunday. Soon after we arrived she called and said her car broke down and that she needed to reschedule for 2 hours later. We showed up again and she was there waiting for us. The interview was rather nice and she changed part of the ceremony to leave out “until death do you part” at my request. When I asked what was wrong with her car she said, “oh there was nothing wrong with my car. My garage door wouldn’t open.” At the wedding she showed up on time all dressed up and ready to go. When the flower girl arrived the dad left her to go set down some camera equipment. The flower girl started to cry because her dad left her alone with us. Then the judge said to her, “if you cry then they can’t get married.” The flowers girls reaction was to cry even more. I was upset that the judge would say such a rude thing to a 3 year old. I was going to say something but I bit my lip and turned away because I was about to get married. If I said something to the judge she could have walked out of there and not married us. Overall her attitude and conduct at the wedding was poor but the ceremony was very nice. She has since been voted out of being a judge.

Blommer Photography
– A++++-
I was the most pleased with this vendor because he took all the candid pictures that I wanted. He has a great sense of style and very professional. I think the picture speak for themselves. He has great talent!

NetBride
– B-
I ordered and paid for all the bridesmaids dresses and the flower girl dress from NetBride. The girls got to choose any style of dress they wanted from Watters and Watters in red doponi silk. It took me some time to find bridesmaids dresses in that bright red color because most of them were toned down and more of a burgundy color. The dresses arrived 2 weeks early but all of them were about 3 sizes too big. We followed the chart on their website and ordered the dress size that matched the measurements. All of the dresses needed serious alterations but I was very pleased with the quality of the dresses.

My Gatsby
– B -
I ordered our save the date cards and our wedding invitations from them. I was very pleased with the service and the price. However, for our wedding invitations I ordered letterpress where they press the letters into the paper. Our wedding invitations were very nice but not letterpress. It took about a month from the time of ordering to received the invites at my door. If you plan on ordering from them you should give yourself plenty of time to receive them and address them.
