Vender Reviews

  • Rehearsal Dinner: Gratzi's Charleston Town Center A+
Gratzi's has delicious food. We had about 22 people attend our dinner. We went with the family style dinner and it was very organized, quick service, and they let us bring (and they stored it hours earlier) our own groom's cake.
  • Night Before: Brass Pineapple B&B, Charleston WVA
This B&B is goregous! They have a website but the pictures don't do it justice. We booked the whole B&B for the night before the wedding and it was a wonderful time. The food was tasty and it made for some nice photos before we went to the Clay Center.
  • Photography: Mark Webb A+
Mark is a friend of my husband. He is just starting out with photography. He works for the Huntington Hearld. He did a fanastic job and we couldn't beat the price! He is interested in doing more weddings!
  • Ceremony/Reception Venue: Clay Center A
The Clay Center is beautiful. The staff was very helpful. My favorite part about the Clay Center was the walker Theater where we had our reception, it has a fun and swanky feel. The price is probably the only set back about this location.
  • Chair Rental: Party King South CharlestonA+
We rented 110 white outdoor chairs for the ceremony. They arrived when they said they would and they were is great condition. I really have no complaints about this vender.
  • Hair: JC Penney's F-
I was the only one in my bridal party getting my hair done. I had a hard time finding a vender kinda last minute. I had a hair trial at Jc Penney's on Memorial Day. We set up my day of appointment and time. I arrived, my hair dresser never did show. What a great way to start your wedding day. Luckily I have short hair and Quentin's hair stylist aunt was in town early. This throw us behind that morning but everything worked out.
  • Cake:A Piece of Cake- Angela Young A+
Angie did our soccer ball groom's cake and our cupcake tower. Her cakes are so delicious! She's very talented! She delievered our cake/cupcakes and set them all up before I even got to the Clay Center. I will definitely do business with her again.
  • Food: Embassy Suites B
Our catering at the Clay Center fell through. We booked embassy suites (who is now the Clay Center's offical caterer) about 2 months out. The food was good but the live action stations we had were pretty slow. The staff and service though was very organized.
  • Flowers: Young's Floral B
Young's did our bouquets, boutineers, corsages, loose center piece flowers, and loose chair flowers. Everything was beautiful. My main complaint was that the chair flowers and bows were the wrong colors! I didn't see them until 15 mins before the ceremony. Not a big deal but when you pay money for that kind of thing you want it done right.
  • Dress: David's Bridal Charleston A
I bought my dress April '06. I went to several bridal shops before ending up at David's. I have to say that I had great service. I was set on a tea length gown and they had the widest selection of them. What else I liked at David's was that they had every dress they carried in every size. You actually get a true feeling of what the dress is going to look like when you can try on YOUR size.
  • Honeymoon: National Travel Huntington A+
National Travel was very easy to work with and got us a great deal! They were very patient and answered all our questions.
