Thank You Card made through vistaprint.com Vendor Reviews Back to Top Ceremony Location - The Chapel at Mandalay Bay – B+ We got the Opal Shores package. Our WC was Carey. She was very nice, but a little slow to get back to me with questions and concerns I had as the big day approached. She wasn’t there on our wedding day and Ada took over. She was great. Everything went smooth for our ceremony. Officiant – Rev. Adam Duckro – A+ I had watched several Mandalay ceremonies online and really liked Rev. Adam the best, so we requested him and so glad that we did. He really made the ceremony flow well and has a nice soothing voice. Reception Dinner Location – VooDoo Steak at the Rio – B Love the location and the food. The view is fantastic. It’s nice to be able to go out on the roof deck and take in the view of Vegas. One issue, which thankfully only myself and a few others noticed, was how snotty our waitress was and how she was trying to rush us. She got really snippy with DH and I when my dad was trying to order us drinks when we arrived not even responding to him, but demanding that we get everyone inside and they needed to order now. But actually, I think everyone was in. For some reason they set two tables for 30 total, not the final number of 24 which I had confirmed a week before. We also had some drama a couple of weeks before the wedding because the menu had changed since we had the contract. Lot’s of communication problems with our new coordinator gave me a bit of unnecessary anxiety. It all turned out okay and our final menu was approved. Cake – The Bakery at the Rio – A+ To avoid the cake cutting fees at VooDoo, we went ahead and ordered a cake through the Rio. I sent them a picture of what I would like. The cake turned out pretty good, although I wasn’t thrilled with the frilly thing on top. But the cake was the best wedding cake I have ever tasted. So good! It’s just such a shame that it had to go to waste since none of us could take it home. Photographer 1 – Cahsman – B+ This was part of our chapel package. Some of the photos came out pretty good, others could have been better, but overall we were happy with them. If Cashman is your chapel photographer, just be prepared to shell out another $1800 or so on top of what you have already paid. It’s just too bad they don’t have an in-between package. Photograoher 2 – Todd Wilson – Bently & Wilson – A+ Todd was prompt and got right to work. He was great to work with and suggested places for us to go to take some more photos. My husband rarely smiles in photos, but he seemed to be very relaxed with Todd and I was very pleased to see that there were some photos of him smiling. We're so happy with how the photos came out. Todd sent us over 200 prints. We highly recommend him. Hair/Make-up – Glamsquad – A+ James showed up on time and did an excellent job. I decided to go for the airbrush and eyelashes and so glad that I did. I was very happy with the results. Transportation: Limo – Lucky Limo – A Our driver was on time and friendly. Got us to where we needed to go. Shuttle Bus – Fox Charter – A We didn’t ride on the shuttle, but the guests enjoyed the ride. The only bad thing is we only needed the shuttle for 30 minutes tops, but they have a 2 hour minimum. – THE Hotel at Mandalay Bay – A+ This is my favorite Vegas hotel. We enjoyed the room (love the two bathrooms) and had a nice view of the strip. Service was great. So many good restaurants close by. The Mandalay pool is fantastic. Would love to stay there again. & Invitations - Eiffel Printing & Design Brittany did a wonderful job. Jeweler - Blue NileMy engagement ring was from them and we plan on getting our wedding bands from there too. My Dress - Arlene's Bridal Shop - Bloomfield, NJ - A+ So far so good. Some of the girls at work got their dresses from here and everything went well for them. I ordered my dress in October and it arrived in February. They are keeping it at the store until I am ready. UUPDATE: The dress is done and everything went so smooth. Everyone at Arlene's is so friendly.
